Isla - //eye-la// we love this name and the Spanish meaning of the name Isla: Devoted to God.
Si Le - //suh-luh// is Isla's Chinese name!
Si - means: to think, thought, to long for, to consider. Le - means: JOY
We had chosen a Bible verse that we wanted to pray for Isla Si Le.
We had chosen this verse prior to knowing her Chinese name meaning...we are in awe of how her Chinese name means to think, long for, consider - JOY!
Our precious girl just turned ONE.
Isla is facing some severe needs of her vertebrae and issues with her ribs and heart.
We are not going to go into too much detail here. With these medical "diagnosis" we only know so much, we have consulted with excellent doctors for her care, and have been building relationships with others facing these needs as well. Please pray for miracles for our girl!
We LOVE her...she is fearfully and wonderfully made and we are so humbled that we get to call her our daughter. We ask for your continued prayers for our family!
We received AMAZING news this week that our LOA (next approval: Letter of Acceptance) is on it's way from China to our agency! This came quickly! The average time had us possibly waiting until Oct for this approval...God had other plans ;)
As soon as that approval arrives, we will send out our I800 (US approval) to ask to specifically adopt Isla. Once that I800 application is sent out...we are looking at travel to China being 2.5-3 months away! YAY! So, what was looking like traveling to our girl would be January...is now possibly NOVEMBER! We are so grateful and so very excited!
We have a few different steps left in the adoption process and it is looking like we will be traveling in the next few months! We are coming for you Baby Isla!
We are so extremely grateful for all of you that have been a part of this journey through prayer (we LOVE your prayers) or by donating items for fundraising, giving a financial donation, or saving your change!
Our adoption costs that are left are estimated around $17,000.
We are needing to raise about $8000. before we leave for China.
We are praying big as we just have a few months before heading for our girl!
God has worked in mighty ways in the whole process to our
precious girl and we trust Him for needs ahead!
