Change of plans...

Our sweet girl caught a virus this past week and isn't fully 100% yet, so we and the ENT airway team at Children's in Philadelphia have decided to reschedule Isla's consult and airway exploratory surgery.

We are disappointed as we have been waiting a long time for this. We were anxious to learn more about Isla's airway and holding hope for options for her. Yet, Isla's safety is of first importance, and we just cannot risk anything.

We believe God knows all of this. We were praying for his will and to make it clear if it was safe or not for Isla to have surgery right now, and we are grateful for a solid answer to that.

As if now, Isla's new date of airway exploratory surgery will be June 11 and if we are given the clear for her to have her next VEPTR surgery, that will be June 16. That will be a lot on her physically, mentally and emotionally. We are going to keep stepping ahead in faith and holding on to hope for miracles!

We still have so many medical appointments here over the next couple months, but we're so excited for springtime - to go see all the beautiful tulips starting to bloom, to celebrate Easter and our hope in Jesus, and enjoy more sunny days ahead...
Please keep praying for Isla, for her airway, overall health, and all she is battling each day.
He is before all things and in him all things hold together - Colossians 1:17
